Just
some short comments:
- invite people to new discoveries
- present faith in an attractive way
- give reasons, what a profit it is to follow Christ
- be naturally, but show your real happiness
- always put an address on the material distributed
Here are now some ideas, you may creatively develop and add as many as you
think...
- Display Christian symbols at your working place. Interested people will
ask you about it and thus give you an opportunity to share your faith.
- Use birthdays to insert some Christian thoughts in your wishes.
- Use Christmas gifts as an apportunity to give books about Jesus to other
people.
- Put some Christian hint in your business card.
- While travelling use the small talk to insert some testimony showing how
you enjoy the fact that God gives good weather, rain for the harvest, etc.
- Carry always some leaflets with you and give them personally away with
good wishes.
- Distribute Bible Correspondence Reply cards when you are waiting in the
streets.
- Ask the medical assitant at your doctor if you are allowed to display some
cards or leaflets in the waiting room.
- When asked why you do not drink alcohol, do not miss to add to all other
arguments, that it is also a matter of your life philosophy as a Christian
to live life at its best.
- When asked why you do not smoke, please add to all other arguments, that,
by the way, it is your personal Christian philosophy to keep yourself on best
health and also to protect others by your example.
- When asked why you do not use any other drugs (coffee, tea, etc.) you may
add to all other arguments, that because of your religion your try to consequently
keep your body in good shape as a responsibility to God, to the family and
to society.
- Try to get involved as a peacemaker wherever you may be - and let people
know that you take the motivation and the strngth from your relationship with
God.
- While other people wear T-Shirts and Jackets with questionable incriptions,
you may wear clothes with Christian slogans - another way to give testimony
of your faith.
- Grieving advertising in the local newspaper could give you an opportunity
to contact people and to consolate them. They will very much appreciate it.
- Plan to visit the local prison with a group of fellow Christians. They
will be open for your songs and witness.
- Visit the places of immigrants, help them in their affairs and share with
them your deep Christian convictions.
- Put some Christian stickers on your car. Driving correct and very courteous
this could also be a good testimony.
- Be honest and let people know that you are a Christian, an Adventist. Believers
should be known by their honestity.
- Insert advertising in the newspaper inviting people to study the Bible
with you and form a small Bible study group.
- Invite people to worship with you in your local church.
- Take with you some Bible Study Cards and some leaflets when on vacation.
You have plenty of time. Talk to nice people about faith, Christ and your
church.
- Invite people to a nice dinner and include talking about your confidence
in life coming from your faith in Jesus.
- Invite neighbours to your home on Friday night to celebrate the beginning
of the Sabbath with you.
- Give your post agent a nice gift on Christmas - a Christian book - and
tell him/her how much you appreciate the service done.
- Give your children’s teacher a nice birthday gift - a Christian book
- and tell him/her how much you appreciate them to pass on good values to
the children in their school.
